Cystinosis is an extremely rare genetic disorder that affects approximately 2000 people world wide and only 500 people in the United States, mostly children. Pharmaceutical companies aren’t investing in researching treatments/cures due to the lack of profitability; therefore all the funding required to research and treat Cystinosis must come from small non-profit organizations. This year’s mission for Team Laughing Dog is to help raise awareness of Cystinosis, and funds for research.
